How to Store Mushrooms
Mushrooms should be refrigerated immediately after purchase. They can be stored in their original packaging or repackaged to allow for air circulation. To extend their freshness, store mushrooms in a paper bag and refrigerate. Mushrooms will last approximate one week in the refrigerator.
How to Freeze Mushrooms
Freezing fresh mushrooms is not recommended. But freezing sautéed mushrooms is a great way to create quick, delicious meal additions that can be added to sauces, stir fries, omelets and more.
First follow the instructions for sautéing mushrooms. Allow mushrooms to cool, then package in airtight containers and freeze.
