Hypomyces lactifluorum
The lobster mushroom is not actually a mushroom, but rather a parasitic Ascomycota that grows on mushrooms and turns them a reddish orange color, and the whole thing is called the lobster mushroom because of its red “shell” on the outside with white inside, similar to the shell and flesh of a lobster.
